LoopShare Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
1. Who we are
This policy explains how we use personal data when you use the LoopShare app (the "App"). LoopDesignLab PTE. LTD., 83B Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088504 ("LoopDesignLab", "we", "us") develops the App and is responsible for the personal data covered by this policy, wherever and however you bought your device. Where you buy a plan or other service from a LoopDL company, that company is responsible for your plan, billing and network data under its own privacy policy. The list of LoopDL companies, with registered addresses and company numbers, is at docs.loopdl.info/companies. Where the law requires us to have a representative in your country, their details are at docs.loopdl.info/companies. If you bought your loopTwo from a retailer, we may receive your purchase details from that retailer to handle a guarantee claim, return or repair.
Contact for anything in this policy, including our data protection officer: legal@loopdl.com.
2. What the App does
LoopShare is the phone companion for the loop, our portable 5G Wi-Fi device with a camera, screen and speaker. It connects your phone to a loop over the loop's own Wi-Fi and acts as a remote for it. Almost everything you do in the App happens directly between your phone and the loop and does not reach our systems. Our systems are used only for your account, notifications, App settings, support and App analytics.
3. What we use and why
| Data | Why | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Account details — name, email address, mobile number, country, password (or a Google or Apple sign-in) | To create and secure your account | Contract |
| Your name, phone model and a random install ID, sent to the loop you connect to | So the loop knows which phone is which. Other people using the same loop can see your name | Contract |
| Photos, videos, files and links you send to or receive from a loop; game answers; music and camera commands; the loop's status and Wi-Fi details | Core features | Contract. Stays between your phone and the loop; never sent to us. Received media is stored on your phone until you delete it |
| Plan and payment data, where you activate a loop or buy a plan in the App — plan chosen, payment method (card type, last four digits, expiry), invoices | To supply and bill your plan and keep required records. Card numbers are entered directly with our payment provider; we do not receive or store them | Contract; legal |
| Support chat messages | To help you | Contract |
| App usage and crash data, not linked to your account | To keep the App working and improve it. You can object to this at any time by contacting us. | Legitimate interests |
| Push notification token; App settings | To send you notifications you have chosen; to run the App the way you set it | Contract |
In the table, "contract" means we need the data to provide the App and services you have asked for; "legitimate interests" means we use it for a purpose you would reasonably expect, such as keeping the App secure and working; "legal" means the law requires it. Where you do not give us data marked "contract", the related feature will not work.
Camera access is used only to read a loop's Wi-Fi QR code on your phone and nothing is sent anywhere. Photos and videos you capture may show other people; you are responsible for respecting their privacy.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data, do not use it for advertising, do not show ads in the App and do not track you across other apps or websites. The App does not collect your phone's location, contacts or microphone, and does not read your photo library.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with:
- LoopDL companies: where you have a plan or other service with a LoopDL company, we share with it the data it needs to provide, bill and support that service, and it shares with us the data we need to run the App;
- the loop you connect to and, through it, other people using that loop (your name and phone model only);
- our payment provider, which handles your card details and payments as an independent controller;
- our analytics, crash-reporting, push-notification and sign-in providers (Google, Apple);
- an AI provider, which processes support chat messages to generate replies;
- regulators, law enforcement and courts where the law requires, and a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised.
Companies that process data for us do so under contracts that limit what they can do with it.
6. International transfers
Our systems are run from Singapore and our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where personal data leaves your country we use safeguards approved under your country's law, such as standard contractual clauses or a recognised transfer agreement, and we remain responsible for it. You can ask us for a copy.
7. How long we keep data
We keep personal data for as long as you have a LoopDL account and for a short period afterwards to close your account, then delete or anonymise it. We keep transaction and billing records for as long as the tax and accounting law of your country requires (typically between five and ten years), and diagnostic and analytics data only for as long as we need it to fix problems and keep the App working, in line with the standard retention settings of our analytics and crash-reporting providers. Photos and videos received from a loop stay on your phone until you delete them; deleting your account does not remove them. What the loop itself keeps is set out in the loop privacy policy at docs.loopdl.info/loop/privacy-policy.
8. Security
Data sent between the App and our systems is encrypted in transit. Access to our systems is limited to people and providers who need it. Data the App stores on your phone is protected by your phone's own security (its app sandbox, screen lock and backup settings), so keep your phone secure. Traffic between your phone and the loop on the loop's own Wi-Fi is not encrypted, so only connect to loops and networks you trust.
9. Your rights, choices and complaints
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to give you a copy. You can change your details and notification choices in the App, and delete your account in Profile > Delete account or by emailing legal@loopdl.com from the email address linked to your account. For anything else, contact legal@loopdl.com. We respond within the time your local law allows (one month in most cases). If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the data protection regulator in your country.
The App is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in the App. The current version is at docs.loopdl.info/loop/apps/loopshare/privacy-policy.
