Part A — Glance Privacy Policy

1. This policy applies to the Glance app by LoopDesignLab PTE. LTD. (reg. 202334183H), 83B Tanjong Pagar Rd, Singapore 088504. Contact: legal@loopdl.com. It is governed by POPIA; regulator: the Information Regulator (South Africa).

2. What the app collects, uses and shares

   2.1. Your profile details (name, email, phone) from your LoopDL account, used to build a contact card. The card is stored on the device and is not stored on our servers. If you share your card, the details are encoded into a QR code or link at that moment; If the card is scanned by a device other than a LoopPhone, the details open as a web page and form part of the link itself, so they may be retained in the scanning device's browser history and in standard web-server logs;

   2.2. Microphone audio, only while you actively use the optional Glance It feature (off by default). Audio is not stored anywhere: a short clip is sent to our backend, which forwards it to a third-party recognition service;

   2.3. A device identifier, push token and your LoopDL account token, sent to our backend when you use a feature that needs it, to register the device;

   2.4. Crash diagnostics and app configuration checks (including your device model and app version) via Google Firebase, to keep the app stable and up to date.

   2.5. Usage analytics - such as screen views, feature usage and session data - sent to our backend to help us understand how the app is used and improve it. This is not shared with any third party and is not used for advertising.

   2.6. Your followed sports teams and other in-app preferences. These selections are synced to our backend and linked to your account, so they remain available across your sessions; they are deleted when you delete your LoopDL account (see section 4);

   2.7. To show media information and your notifications on the secondary screen, the app reads media and notification information on your device. This information is processed on the device only and is not sent to our servers or to any third party.

3. Glance does not use your location, does not contact any weather service itself (weather is read on device from the phone), and requests no contacts or SMS access. The camera is used only for an optional selfie feature (on by default); when you use it, the camera feed and any photo you take are shown and kept on the device only - nothing is sent to our servers or any third party. It contains no advertising. Data is sent over encrypted (TLS) connections; and audio is not stored. Some personal information may be processed outside South Africa; where personal information is transferred across borders, we ensure the recipient is subject to laws or binding agreements providing an adequate level of protection, as required by section 72 of POPIA. We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

4. Your rights and deletion

   You may access, correct or delete your personal information. Glance has no account of its own; it uses your LoopDL account, so to delete the data associated with your account, delete your LoopDL account (in the LoopPhone app). You may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

5. Children

   The app is not intended for children under the age of 18.

Part B — Data Safety declaration (Play Console)

Security: encrypted in transit; audio not stored; cloud backup disabled. No location is collected. Usage analytics (screen views, feature usage, session data) are collected to our backend and are not shared with third parties.
